Scenes from downtown Adelaide

On the coast near Adelaide, I went for a long
beach drive with my good friend Narelle. Unfortunately, I got
severely bogged -- sand up to the axle... We were very lucky to
have these two fine gentlemen come along and help to snatch me
out... They were a little less than pleased about my situation
but were more than happy to pose for a picture and give me some
fish they had just caught.

The Barossa Valley, about 50km from Adelaide,
is home to Australia's best wines. I checked out a few of the
vineyard and I'm happy to report than the Cabernet is excellent.

Just outside of Adelaide I heard a racket coming
from the engine compartment... A quick stop at the gas station
turned out to be $3000 and 2 day delay for a new gearbox... Fortunately,
the garage was kind enough to tow me to a caravan park while they
worked on the gear assembly. That was quite a sight, I tell ya!
The "Tilt" is an excellent
amusement center with a ton of pinball machines ("We must
build an atomic blaster!"). I have certified it as "Tiltboy
Mecca" in the southern hemispere. Read all about the best
