Bruny Island, off the southeast coast of Tasmania, is a great place for a few days. The isthmus show below connects the upper and lower part of the island -- it's home to thousands of nesting Fairy Penguins, the smallest species on the planet. Every night at dusk, they come in from the ocean and march across the beach to the shelter of the shrubs. The children pictured below (LtoR: Jake, Holly, Tienna, Amy) joined me for a spur-of-the-moment Art Time using some of the supplies I bought just for this purpose... Thanks kids for the great pictures!
