Bruny Island, off the southeast coast of Tasmania,
is a great place for a few days. The isthmus show below connects
the upper and lower part of the island -- it's home to thousands
of nesting Fairy Penguins, the smallest species on the planet.
Every night at dusk, they come in from the ocean and march across
the beach to the shelter of the shrubs. The children pictured
below (LtoR: Jake, Holly, Tienna, Amy) joined me for a spur-of-the-moment
Art Time using some of the supplies I bought just for this purpose...
